The useful details at a glance
Use these rows before opening a long route. Status tells you what is confirmed and what still needs a retail check.
Do this in order
Three short actions to turn this page into a usable run. Open a matching image when you need the landmark or combat context.
Separate the prologue starter
The official listing says eight playable Shells; launch coverage also distinguishes a prologue starter. Keep those counts separate so the roster is not misleading.
Start with Tiel or Proxima
Use Mushroom Village for Tiel or the Blackridge/Shattered Beacon route for Proxima. Both are practical early checks before spending resources on Shell maps.
Choose the problem, then the Shell
Pick the Shell for learning tells, moving safely, controlling space, or finishing a boss. Link the choice to a weapon and a real route.

Choose a Shell for the problem in front of you
Start with role, ability loop, route, and recovery. A named Shell is only useful when the page tells you when to use it.

Status is deliberately conservative: a reference lead helps discovery, but exact stats, drops, costs, and coordinates are not marked verified without a current retail check.

Separate the prologue shell from the main roster
The official store description says eight playable Shells. Launch route cross-checks also distinguish the prologue starter from the eight main claimable Shells, so this site keeps those counts separate instead of inflating the roster.
A Shell changes which openings are safe, how you recover, and what a good weapon pairing looks like. The useful answer is the route and the decision, not a naked tier label.
Start with the two early Fainweald options
Launch route notes place Tiel near Mushroom Village and Proxima near the Blackridge route and Shattered Beacon. Both are practical early checks before spending scarce resources on a Shell map.
Gragu, Eredrim, and Smert are also tied to Fainweald routes; Genessa, Lazlo, and Sariel are longer Mammon or late-route targets. Treat these as route leads until you confirm the current retail prompt in-game.
Pick by the decision you need
If you are learning enemy tells, choose a Shell that gives you room to reset. If you already know the route, mobility, status, or burst can make the same arena faster.
A tier list without a mode, weapon, or route is a weak answer. Each Shell page states the activity behind its recommendation and keeps uncertain costs or exact ability values visible.
All eight claimable Shell routes in plain English
Tiel is the early Mushroom Village check. Proxima is the Blackridge / Shattered Beacon check. Gragu starts at the One-Legged Wolf Tavern and asks you to plan a Heart of Vatra return. Eredrim is tied to the Citadel of Penance and the Warden encounter.
Smert sends you to Prophet’s Rest near Nochte, where the ritual and three blood altars create the route pressure. Genessa is a Mammon support route that returns to Marrow Keep. Lazlo runs through the Royal Crypt and Vellen. Sariel is the late Gate of Infinity route with a staged encounter.
These are route leads, not a promise that every prompt, cost, and reward is unchanged. Open the detail page before a long run and check the current retail interaction in-game.
